What Kids In Glory expects from you 
  
Kids In Glory Daycare & Learning Center is dedicated to carrying for the body, mind and soul of your children and everything we do is specifically oriented for the very benefit of your children. However, we are a professional organization based on well-established principles and ground rules.

Enrollment Requirements

Enrollment forms
For your child's safety and to comply with state regulations, all enrollment papers must be completed, and on file in the Center before your child attends Kids in Glory. These forms include an enrollment application, parent agreement form and a notarized custody declaration, if applicable. Medical forms include up-to-date immunization records, physician's statement, necessary emergency medical contact information and emergency medical authorization.

Vision & Hearing Screening
Along with your child's immunization records, Texas Law requires all children age four and older to be screened for vision and hearing problems upon entering a licensed facility for the first time. Written evidence of this screening must be on file in the Center office. Parents are responsible for the vision and hearing screening. This screening can be done by the child's physician or may be offered here at the Center in the spring and fall for a small fee.

Tuition and Fees

Enrollment Fee
If you enrolled before November 1, your enrollment fee was pro-rated. Another enrollment fee will be due each November 1. The enrollment fee covers supplemental insurance, administrative costs and supplies. (An extra fee may be charged for additional educational materials.) Enrollment fees are not refundable.If you should withdraw your child during the year and return later, a new enrollment fee will be charged.

Tuition for Full-Time Students (enrolled 5 days per week)
Full tuition is due if your child enrolls as a full-time student and attends three or more days in any one week. If your child is absent all week or attends two days or less, please notify the Center ahead of time and tuition will be reduced by half. Holidays are counted as a day present.

All tuition fees are due and payable on Monday or on your child's first program day. A bookkeeping fee will be charged on the unpaid balance if fees are not paid by Wednesday of the week they are due. Your child will not be admitted to Kids in Glory until full payment is made.

Public school children will have extended care billed each day when out of school on school holidays, teacher in-service days, bad weather days when public school is closed.
If you pay with cash, always ask for a receipt.


Vacation for Full-Time Students
After one full year of enrollment your full-time child may be absent from Kids in Glory one week per year without charge. If the absence lasts for more than one week, you must notify the center and pay half tuition to assure your child a continued place

Tuition for Flex-Time Student
If your child is enrolled on an hourly basis, (s)he is a flex-time student. If (s)he is a flextime student you have signed up for a special schedule for your child. Total tuition should be paid on the first day of the week your child attends. Tuition fees NOT paid by the second attendance day at 6:00PM will be subject to a bookkeeping fee. If your child needs to attend more than his/her scheduled program, you will need to check with the Director to see if that time is available. Any tuition adjustments for additional hours used will be due the following Monday.

If you pay with cash, always ask for a receipt.

Absenteeism and Vacation for Flex-Time Students
As a FLEX-TIME enrollee, your child's place in our program is reserved for the day And times you have indicated. For this reason there will be NO REDUCTION IN YOUR TUITION for absenteeism or vacation.

Holidays
We will be closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Due to fixed costs, averaged over a calendar year, there is NO reduction in tuition for these holidays. Tuition charges for these holidays will be calculated as though the child was present, if it is the child's regularly scheduled day of attendance.
When one of these holidays falls on a weekend the Holiday may be taken on Friday or Monday. The center will post which day.

Returned Checks and Charges
There will be a charge for all returned checks. Your account may be put on a cash only basis after two returned checks. Current charges for returned checks are posted in the Center office.

Late Pick Up Charge
Parents who pick up their children after the regular closing time will be charged a late fee. If there has been no communication from parents, legal authorities will be contacted for children left at the center one-hour after the closing time of the center.

Attendance
In an effort to maintain a quality program and proper staffing, please notify your Director if your child will be absent on a scheduled day of attendance.

Arrival and Departure
Upon arrival, state law requires parents, to leave the child in the care of a staff member. each child must be signed in and out daily by either the parent or staff member depending on each center's individual policy. Kids in Glory Daycare & Learning Center will not release your child to anyone, other than those authorized on your child's enrollment form, without written authorization from the parent. Identification (valid driver's license) will be checked on ANY person we do not recognize on sight. Children will not be released to other children, i.e. older brothers and sisters, unless specifically listed on the enrollment form or approved in advance by the Center office. Please do not allow your child to leave the building ahead of you. Your cooperation will help ensure the safety of your child.

Bad Weather Policy
On icy mornings please call the Center to make sure we were able to open.
On days, other than holidays, when the Center cannot open, a tuition adjustment will be made.

Clothing
When dressing your child for school, please remember to check the weather and make sure (s)he is dressed appropriately. Remember that (s)he will be using paint, glue, markers, playing in sand, etc. Please dress children in comfortable play clothes and tennis shoes. Label all clothing and personal articles. Please bring an extra set of clothing to be kept ant the Center. Soiled clothing should be taken home and replaced with a fresh set the next day. Even older children occasionally spill their drinks or get paint on their clothes!

Bring Things from Home?
Toys are not to be brought from home unless specifically requested for "show and tell" by the teacher or are used by the child at rest time to make him/her feel more secure. Other toys can be easily lost or broken and can become sources of conflict between children. Kids in Glory will not be responsible for toys brought to the center.

Lost Articles
We cannot replace lost articles. If your child brings money or something valuable to Kids in Glory Daycare & Learning Center, it is important that the teacher or Director be informed. Please check in lost and found if an item is missing. Lost and found items will be cleaned out periodically and donated to a charitable organization.

Illness or Injury
Your child should be kept at home if he shows any sign of illness. Parents must notify the Center if a child has been exposed to a communicable disease outside the Center. If a child becomes ill at the center, parents will be notified and asked to take the child home. A child must be free of fever, vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to the Center. The Center has permission to take such reasonable measures as are, in the judgment of the Center, necessary to the welfare and safety of the child. The Center will administer first-aid including cleaning wound and applying antiseptics unless parents advise otherwise in writing. All bills are to be Sent directly to parent of guardian. In case of illness or accident, when a parent cannot be contacted by The Center, a physician is required, one may be called at the parent's expense. See Injuries and Insurance sections in Section Two of our Parent Handbook for further information.

Medication
No medication will be given without parents written instructions on the Center's Medication Authorization Form. ALL medicine must be in the original container labeled with the child's name, a date, directions, and be age appropriate. Prescription medication must also include the physician's name.
